SACRED CONVERSATIONS IS WHERE YOU CAN LEARN TO SAY WRITE, RECITE, UNDERSTAND, SING, AND PRACTICE THE TEACHINGS OF SUFISM ******************************************************************** LEARN FROM OUR TEACHER QARI MUSHTAQ AHMAD AND SHEIKH FIRDOUSI
QARI MUSHTAQ AHMAD IS A QURAN SINGER AND TEACHER OF ARABIC
I AM YOUR HOST SHEIKH FIRDOUSI WYRICK
The story of the our extraordinary relationship started as an encounter on FaceBook just a few years ago... Two devoted mystics who never met before somehow formed a deep friendship of the heart from their mutual love of God, the Creator and the Loving Master of the Universe. And so they came to a sincere desire to understand and know about each others lives. Out of these many conversations Mushtaq Ahmad and Firdousi Wyrick began to talk by text and video with each other nearly every day and related their many mutual interests in Sufism, Islam, Quran singing and of course the 99 names of Allah. Also some of the deeper aspects and teachings of Sufism also called Tasawwulf the Arabic world. They had multiple deep conversations examining and sharing the many sacred practices used in the various Sufi lineages or Tariqa. We also taught together the Arabic Wazifa: أسماء الله الحسنى, or the Beautiful Names of Allah. They are the sacred names or "mantras" of the Muslims and Sufis. While Mushtaq was from a Qadri Sufi lineage and classically trained to be a Sunni Imam, Firdousi is from a Western branch of Sufism called the Sufi Ruhaniat International (S.R.I.) which was founded by Sufi Ahmad Murad Chisti (Murshid Samuel Louis) back in the 60s. Samuel Lewis came from the lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan who was the great Chisti saint who brought Sufism to the West back in 1910. He adopted many Sufi teachings to be comprehensible to Westerners opening so many hearts to the Prophet Muhammad عليه الصلاة والسلام and the deep understandings of Sufism and Islam and the East. Mushtaq had studied many years with a Qadri Pir named Allama Mohammed Maqsood Ahmad Qadri Chishti and had become an Imam and a Hafiz (the title of one who has memorized the entire Quran). In the course of his studies with many different teachers he eventually became a skilled Qari which is one who sings the Quran with special pronunciation methods that awaken the mysticism of sound to the reciter and the listener. He has served as an Imam at the Masjid he built in 1997 and has been tirelessly working there for no money while being the Mu'azan, the Imam Khateeb and teaching children the Quran while also taking care of the Masjid grounds and building all by himself. Qari Mustaq's command of English allowed long conversations on so many subjects. Soon Firdousi asked Mushtaq to help correct Firdousi's pronunciation of the 99 names and other Suras and Arabic sayings. So Mushtaq started to give lessons and some historical context and short teachings thrown in. Mustaq shared and offered to train Firdousi how to sing a few Suras and Duas as well as to study the Arabic language (especially the 99 names of Allah.) Because Mushtaq lives just outside of Lahore, Pakistan and Firdousi lives in now in Oklahoma but was living in Paris, France at the time. In the past this kind of relationship would never have been possible. Because of the extraordinary technology of this time, Mushtaq began giving Firdousi lessons nearly every day. Then at some point, (in these times of Covid-19), Mushtaq was unable to work as a shoemaker anymore as everything became closed down in Pakistan. Indeed the whole world changed quickly for nearly all of humanity. Mushtaq began impoverished such that he could not feed and care for his wife and four children. Firdousi suggested that Mushtaq try teaching some of his Western Sufi students a little Arabic and some of the 99 names in proper Arabic pronunciation as well as to sing some of the short Sura's of the Quran. Mushtaq liked this idea since it is closer to his purpose then shoe making. It was a great success and lasted a year and enabled Mushtaq to take care of his family and increase his station. Because of great support from God and other people and Mushtaq's income from the classes he has been able to almost complete a new house where he can provide real shelter for his family. You see, he is living with his wife and his four adorable children in a single small room buildt cheaply on the roof of his Masjid. It is very dangerous to continue to live there because the poor construction could collapse in the next storm and crush him and his children at any time. Firdousi has become very anxious about the safety of his friends and has vowed to help them build and now finish his new home. With the grace of Allah it is now 90% complete. See the picture below.
Firdousi has worked online for many years and is now putting up this new Sacred Conversation website to construct yet another online course so Mushtaq could again work online to help support his family and especially to finish his new home. Also, this way Mushtaq can continue to teach in an ongoing way those who might be interested in going deep into Sufism and getting a real taste of this remarkable culture. There will be: Saying, Reciting, Understanding, Writing and Singing the sacred names as well as many other special Sufi practices involving Salat, Zikr, singing parts or the Quran, healing practices, teaching and explaining the beautiful Hadith or sayings of the Prophet ( peace and blessings be upon him). Also we will have music and poetry in the original Farsi and Urdu as well as film excursions to the sacred sites and tombs of the Sufi saints and other blessed places. There will be many other offerings that would help Western Sufi students as well as students from other countries. We are seeking to make accessible a vast amount to understanding and application of the most valuable Sufi teachings and practices to help you make progress in your path of illumination and uncover the hidden treasure in your heart and soul. Now several years have pasted and the Wazifa School has not been open for some time. Firdousi and Mushtaq want to start and new fellowship presenting and discussing advanced Sufi teaching and traditional Dua (prayers) Also many very powerful and beautiful practices from the teachings of various Sufi lineages. These classes will be weekly and offered for a donation. They will be fun and deep and interesting and inshaallah will help to open your heart. We will have special guest from around the Sufi world giving their wisdom understandings. Since Firdousi and Mushtaq have been working together Mushtaq has been able to support his family and they are thriving compared to before where it was very difficult to even feed his family Since a small amount of Western money goes a long way in Pakistan interested students could decide a donation amount for each month and learn the very special knowledge of Qari Mushtaq very inexpensively and in their own time. This would help him so much to feed his family and maybe even to acquire a better home for him and his family. It is from this mutual love of Allah and deep respect for each others knowledge and heart-love that the desire to help spread his knowledge and to help support Mushtaq and his family that this web site has been launched to form the WAZIFA SCHOOL whose mission is to spread great, blessing, healing love and the potency of these most sacred and beautiful names. So, Inshallah, if learning this knowledge is of interest to you and giving support to a wonderful person who is seeking to fulfill his Divine Purpose and feed his family please consider joining this gathering of devotees on our path to Love and Wonder. Please enroll in our Wazifa School.

So below is a Hadith or a Saying of the the Prophet Mohammad which talks of the importance of these names and repeating them.
